The Yamazaki Whisky 55 years old is Suntory’s flagship single malt whisky, from Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery, multi-layered with fruit and Mizunara aromas. Furthermore, Yamazaki 55 was Bottled in 2020. Meanwhile, the House of Suntory’s oldest release in its history- takes us back to the 1960s’, a major period of change for the house. At that time, Keizo Saji succeeded his father, founder Shinjiro Torii as the House’s Second-Generation Master Blender, and the company Kotobukiya was renamed Suntory. Nose: Sandalwood, well-ripened fruit
Palate: Sweet, slightly bitter notes, unfolding to a touch of wood from the Mizunara casks
